I currently serve as Instructor of Voice and Opera at Southeast Missouri State University, where I teach undergraduate voice majors from a wide variety of backgrounds. In addition to maintaining a private voice studio, I teach courses in English, Italian, German, and French diction, functional piano, and direct the University's opera productions.
My teaching experience spans more than ten years and includes serving as an adjunct instructor of classical and musical theatre voice at Southeast Missouri State University, as well as three years as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Memphis, where I am completing the final stage of my Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
I believe great singing comes from understanding both how your voice works and how it feels when it's functioning freely and efficiently. My lessons help students develop healthy technique, strong musicianship, and the confidence to become independent, expressive artists.
